The Convoy of Hope was a huge success! After everything was put in place and all was accounted for, we had a total of 132 churches, 24 denominations, and 1292 volunteers We had over 9400 guests take advantage of the community services, health screenings, and groceries. 6809 guests received prayer and 525 prayed the prayer of salvation. The lines started forming around 7 a.m. and by 8 a.m., there were already a couple hundred people ready to come in. The lines were wrapped around the parking lot. The mayor informed us that traffic to get into the coliseum was backed up 2 1/2 miles. Many of our guests were so happy and thankful for what the Convoy offered that they were asking when the next one would be! Thank you to everyone who helped make this Convoy a success! God bless! |

CONVOY OF HOPE CHURCH PARTICIPATION

One of the most important aspects to ensuring a successful outreach in 2007 is having the involvement of local churches. It will take a huge team of volunteers to make this outreach a success, and there are several ways your church can be involved:
Prayer
The Convoy of Hope Prayer Team will organize a 24-hour prayer team vigil leading up to the event. You can be a part of the exciting things God will do to touch our community by signing up to pray for the event, the guests, and the volunteers.
Event Volunteers
Members of the volunteer team will be blessed and encouraged as they serve the community on November 17th. Click here for a complete list of service areas or use our online volunteer sign up form.
Giving
Your financial contributions will help ensure that everyone who comes to Montgomery’s Convoy of Hope outreach will receive practical, physical aid in the form of free dental exams, health screenings, haircuts, groceries and more. There will also be games for the children and entertainment for all ages. Your monetary gift will directly impact the physical and spiritual needs of those in this community.
Follow-Up
A team of volunteers from churches across the city will be needed to ensure that those receiving the Message of Hope on November 17th will find a church where they can grow in their faith and receive ongoing ministry and discipleship. This is the key to ensuring lasting impact on the lives of those who visit the Convoy of Hope. It’s more than a 1-day ministry. It is an event that can change a life.

We are pleased to announce that the Convoy of Hope is returning to Montgomery! In 2002 we hosted the event in our city and over 100 churches and organizations from across Montgomery joined together to present one of the greatest outreaches to ever touch our city. We have launched this site to help all of our volunteers stay informed with what's happening with Montgomery's Convoy of Hope. |
